Hark!
It has been a while since updating my little window here. I left you all with fearfullness, worries, stagnant place of being, tired…all of those things. I was in a pit of despair. Not where you would like to spend a holiday. No way indeed! Time had passed, has passed, things are UP! Clouds have parted and doorways have been opened. Okay, enough with the mush mush.
OBAMA has won, Bryan has made it through surgery and has been checked for cancer with NEGATIVE results and Autumn is here! What could be better?
I have been knitting hats like crazy. Trying to keep the craniums happy. Itching to knit new Christmas stockings (because we are actually going to have a “mantle” to place them on this year) and finally bought the correct size needle to start knitting the sleeves of Bry’s Cobblestone Pullover (by Jared Flood).
KNITTING SPINNING AND LAUGHING AGAIN!
Took a walk this evening and was able to capture some snapshots along the way..

in order above: top left-the lyra hat, top right-blue slump, bottom left-koolhaas, bottom right-greyfell peeking thru the spinning wheel
and the CHIPMUNK OF NIHM!

I am having so much joy knitting this sock! The pattern is memorizable and in some way meditative. I am usually not this quick with socks. They are nice fitting as well. I hope I have enough yarn..might have to buy another ball. DH is going to freak when he gets these. He is already calling them his hiking socks.
We went on our first letterboxing adventure yesterday! We found it too! We enjoyed some good scenery and hiking action and were chased down the trail by Dire Horse Flies that can hover, yes hover!, in mid-air! OMG! Good thing we brought the bug spray. What more fun could one ask for?

Bry and I modeling in front of the Leonard Springs Nature Park Sign

The ever so awesome Springs!
There were tons more photos…mostly of trees but I editing has been a pain since the disk I tried to save them on didn’t work..there went an hours worth of my time..blah.
Well, off to jump on the bike to ride to town!
Ah, Summer is beckoning to me to get out of doors and enjoy the nature that took all spring to grow. The berry patches show off there abundance with pride.
What do I have in mind for these beauties? Well, tarts, of course!
Ripen, dammit, ripen!

I have never put these two together but I see now that my love for berries and my knit projects influence each other by way of color schemes. Just look here at my Arrowroot Shawl…
